When used as power inductors, they may be connected for higher current lower inductance or lower current higher inductance. When used as 1:1 transformers (coupled inductors) they provide electrical isolation. May be manufactured with economical powdered iron cores or higher performance low loss cores. Other core materials available for a variety of applications and custom sizes and values may be engineered for your specific application.
