SPST-N.C. (1 Form B) |

A Form B Fluid Sensor contains a single pole single throw, normally closed (SPST-N.C.) reed switch.  It's contacts are the normally closed (Form B) position before any magnetic field is applied.  Fluid sensors and floats can be configured to function as a normally closed or Form B reed switch.  A Form B fluid sensor containing a normally open reed switch that uses it's floating magnet to keep it in the closed position, as with our horizontal mount LS03 series Liquid Level Sensor. Check out these animated Magnet Interaction examples showing the reed switches in their sensing environment.
