Growing through various acquisitions, along with current customers, new business, technologies, capabilities, and new products – Electronics has built into a house of businesses and brands. These include Meder, Standex Electronics Japan (formerly OKI Sensor Device Corporation), Agile Magnetics, Northlake Engineering, Renco Electronics, and launching of Standex Electronics India. Our product brands are under these businesses and well-known worldwide such as through the reed switch brands of Meder, Kent, and Kofu. Standex Meder Electronics

Based out of Singen, Germany

Acquired in 2012

Meder Electronic, founded by Bernhard Meder, primarily produces component level products that are designed, engineered, and manufactured such as reed switches, reed relays, and reed sensors. Also produced are stainless steel fluid level sensors.

Meder is renowned for their focus on quality, footprint in Europe and Asia, their tool shop in Großbreitenbach and facility in Singen (Germany), and technology around the components they manufacture. Meder also allowed for our expansion into China through the Shanghai facility and team.

Standex Electronics acquired Meder Electronic in 2012.

Standex Electronics Japan (SEJ)

Formerly OKI Sensor Device Corporation

Customer needs for reed switches are becoming increasingly diverse, and include demands for greater compactness, lower cost, higher functionality, and stable product supply. Standex Electronics Japan is a specialty manufacturer of reed switches and related products developed specifically to respond to these user needs.

We are meeting the challenge of developing products and production technology for a new era — with our own unique production technology, state-of-the-art production equipment and a diverse product line in the area of reed switches.

In the future, we will continue to provide high-quality reed switches and related application products, and thereby support superior product development by our customers through the broadest offerings, technology, state of the art machinery and capabilities, and switch types ranging from 4mm – 50mm, our MK24 package, high-voltage isolation, and more.

Standex Electronics acquired OKI Sensor Device Corporation, now Standex Electronics Japan, in 2017. This allowed for major expansion of the reed switch product lines, capabilities, and manufacturing. It also grew the global reach and footprint along with the Meder, Kent, and Kofu product brands to make Standex Electronics the number one reed switch supplier in the world.

Northlake Engineering

Northlake Engineering has more than 60 years experience in providing customized design solutions for transformers and related electromagnetic components serving a full range of markets including but not limited to the medical, instrumentation, industrial equipment, transportation, aviation, and communications markets. Global supply chain and strong relationships with industry leaders such as GE Medical, Siemens, and Philips make Northlake and Standex a great strategic fit.

Standex Electronics India (SEI)

We have expanded our global footprint by adding a facility in India.

Standex Electronics global footprint has also expanded into India. This will allow us to engage the market within India, and add to our abilities to be cost efficient with resources.

This effort reflects the continued investment in growth and innovation for the Electronics businesses and team. In addition, value will be created through operational efficiencies, expanding capacity, and being more competitive globally.

Standex Electronics launched Standex Electronics India in 2018. 

With more than 25 years in the magnetics business, Agile Magnetics has set the standard for manufacturing

With more than 25 years in the magnetics business, Agile Magnetics has set the standard for manufacturing custom-designed electromagnetics at the highest levels of quality and value. Our highly experienced team has led the industry in manufacturing quality high frequency power assemblies, custom coils, value-added assemblies and 50-60-400Hz products for the most demanding industries and applications. We are ISO 9001 compliant, and our products can be manufactured to UL, CUL, VDE and CE, with UL and CUL markings when required.

Our highly qualified staff of engineers work together in our state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot manufacturing center in Concord, NH to ensure that every custom design project is manufactured to our customers’ exact specifications and meet virtually any specification. To ensure we deliver only the highest quality products to our customers, every product is computer tested prior to delivery.

Renco Electronics has been designing and manufacturing coils and transformers since 1955.

Renco Electronics has been designing and manufacturing coils and transformers since 1955. Our state of the art facility in Rockledge, Florida has more than 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space on 14 acres. In our facility, we design, perform reliability testing, engineer, prototype, and manufacture transformers and coils for worldwide distribution. Our location in Asia has more than 100,000 square feet on 16 acres with the capacity to product millions of transformers and coils per month. Our Hong Kong Logistics center makes the distribution channel easy and free flowing, along with strong support for sales, engineering, and design support for customer solutions. Renco Electronics was acquired by Standex Electronics in 2020.

Sensor Solutions® was incorporated in Colorado in 1993 specializing in the design and manufacture of magnetic field detection sensors.

Sensor Solutions, founded in 1993, designs and manufactures magnetic sensors and accessories including digital switches and analog output sensors designed to measure speed, speed and direction, count, position, proximity, alignment, rotation angle, or the strength of a magnetic field.
